Three‑sided,
flat‑decked rectilinear precast units placed segmentally onto a
concrete foundation can be used to form a bridge. The units are tied
together by grouted keyways preformed into the foundation and between
units, or mechanically by lateral ties of post-tensioning strands or
rods.
Most three‑sided
bridge systems offer clear span units from 6 to 42 feet coupled with
vertical clearances from 2 to 14 feet. This flexibility, coupled with
the ability to cast skew angles up to 45 degrees, transitional and
radial shapes, allows for a wide range of opening configurations. All
of this ‑ and more ‑ allows for a completely precast project that is
quick and efficient!
